Review: Glossier Skincare Edit
Figuring out a skincare routine, when you never had a skincare routine in your life, can quickly become a huge dilemma. How do you even know where to start? What products will work best? Pinpointing problem areas to treat? There are so many variables that go into perfecting a skincare routine that works for you. Making your skin happy and healthy will most likely be a game of trial and error until you come across the right cocktail of products. One of the hardest parts in most scenarios is getting started. I think a great way to dive into the world of curated skincare routines is to look into skincare sets. Brands will typically put out a sampler set, so you have the opportunity to try some of their most popular products, without committing to a full size.
One of my favorite beauty brands at the moment is Glossier. Glossier is known for its skincare and makeup products that keep things light and fun. You can always expect products that enhance natural beauty and keep your makeup looking natural and effortless. Glossier has its own range of skincare products to keep your skin looking its best. I am going to be breaking down The Skincare Edit by Glossier. This sampler set gives you everything you need to get you started with a basic skincare routine and it's affordable! Keep scrolling for the full breakdown.

Within the Skincare Edit, you will get a total of 6 products, plus a super cute headband. This sampler will cost you $50. The size of the products will give you multiple uses, which is plenty of time to figure out what you like and don't like. I think this is a great deal for the amount of product you are getting and the quality of skincare.
The Milk Jelly Cleanser is a PH balanced face wash that nourishes and hydrates the skin. This cleanser can be used on wet skin to cleanse, and can also be used on dry skin to break down and remove makeup. This product also contains Poloxamer, which is found in contact solution, instead of soap to keep it safe and gentle when using around your eyes. This cleanser suits all skin types and is vegan/cruelty-free. A full-size product will cost you $18 and the mini size is $9.
This may be one of my favorite Glossier skincare products. It seriously looks amazing under makeup. Future Dew is described as an oil serum hybrid. Use this product to top off your skincare routine and give your skin the ultimate dewy, highlighted finish. Its formulation will instantly and hydrate your skin without feeling oily and greasy. It is great to use under makeup and adds a more dewy, gleam underneath your foundation. It is vegan and cruelty-free. A full size of this product will cost you $24.
Super bounce is a hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5 serum. I personally think a hyaluronic acid serum is a must in every skincare routine, this is a great product to have on hand. This product promotes long-term hydration. Apply this before your moisturizer! The hyaluronic acid in combination with vitamin B5 will hold moisture deep within the skin and also smooth the skin's texture. The formula also absorbs quickly into the skin so you will never have that sticky feeling. This product is cruelty-free and a full size can be purchased for $28.
The Priming Moisturizer Rich is a top-rated product on Glossier's website. This moisturizer is packed with shea butter, murumuru butter, ceramides, and fatty acids. These ingredients work together to build a moisture barrier and lock in hydration for all-day wear. Even though this cream is highly rich and nourishing, it is perfect for both daytime and nighttime use. Its formulation easily melts into the skin and has fast absorbing qualities. This product will also aid in soothing the skin and calming down redness to balance the skin. All skin types can use this product and a full size of this product will cost you $35.
The Balm Dotcom is one of Glossier's most well-known products. This product is marketed as the "do everything lip balm". Formulated with intense moisturizers such as castor oil, beeswax, and lanolin, this products dense texture stay in places and seal in moisture. It is perfect for dry, chapped lips but can also be used on over areas of the face to treat dryer areas. You will not be left with a shiny finish when using this product, just natural hydrated-looking lips, and skin. This product comes in multiple colors and scents and will cost you $12.
Headband
Last but not least, they give you this pink headband to put on while you're applying all your new skincare. It has rubber grips on the inside of the headband so it does slide right of your hair. It keeps your hair pulled back and away from your face and its looks super cute. What more could you ask for? I think this was a fun little touch to add to a skincare kit.
There you have it, a breakdown of a great kit to get you started with a skincare routine. This skincare sampler in particular is very basic and these products are extremely user-friendly. This is a great way to dry out some products and get in the habit of a daily skincare routine. You also won't have to worry about using any skincare product that is too intense and could potentially burn and irritate your skin. Have you tried out any Glossier skincare? I would love to hear your thoughts on their products in the comments. Or, let me know your favorite skincare line/ sampler kit in the comments.
